First Aid Training

Bath SpaRCS First Aid Training 14th May 2018

We stand in the middle of a field often with only a couple of club members around us. We’re not at home close to the telephone or neighbours, or at the local shops with others around us.

Would you know what to do if someone with you suffered a serious laceration from a propeller, a burn from an exploding LiPo, or more seriously would you recognise the signs of a heart attack or stroke ?

Charmy Down is a remote area and getting medical attention would take time, the action that you or others take could really save a life … it may be yours.

Iain has spoken with St John Ambulance and they’re prepared to run a training session at our next club meeting on the 14th May. In the commercial world these courses can be very expensive, St John Ambulance is a registered charity. As a club we will make a donation for this event, however, please also consider making a personal donation on the day, we will have a collection box available and all donations will be anonymous. I don’t know if it will be possible to make receipted donations enabling St John Ambulance to recover income tax using Gift Aid, but this will be clarified at the meeting.

Having read this please pass the message on to other club members as First Aid knowledge is a valuable asset wherever you may be, we would like to see as many members as possible at the next club meeting … someone’s life may depend upon it.
