Box Revels & Saltford Festival

This year we were once again invited to provide a static model display at the Box Revels on Spring Bank Holiday Monday and also at the Saltford Festival on the 9th June which was hosted by the Golf Club.  For both shows the weather was extremely kind to us, despite an early morning shower at Box and rain after we’d packed up in Saltford both days were gusty at times.  We were able to display a good range of Scale and Sport models with both glow and electric powered examples of each. Iain had assembled a really interesting display board showing many different types and sizes of diesel and glow engines as well as a selection of electric motors and speed controllers.

There was a steady stream of visitors to the stands on both days who showed a lot of interest in what was on display. We were re-acquainted with some former club members and spoke to some potential new members. Several of us manning the stand were lucky to meet some really interesting members of the public with knowledge and history of full sized aircraft, military service and the also local area.

We must thank everyone who helped with these two very successful and enjoyable days and thank our hosts for the opportunity to promote Bath SpaRCS. Special thanks has to go to Paul at Saltford Golf Club who offered us the chance to display undercover in a gazeebo that had been erected the day before.
